We are pleased to announce that Dr. Adrian V. Golser has been entered onto the list of certified European Patent Litigators before the Unified Patent Court (UPC).

The UPC is a single judicial system established to adjudicate patent disputes across the European jurisdictions that have joined it. It has jurisdiction over both unitary patents, which have effect across multiple participating states, and over many so-called “classic” European patents, comprising bundles of national patent rights; accordingly, it can determine matters such as infringement and validity/revocation in a unified procedure rather than requiring separate litigation in each country.

The UPC’s substantive reach extends across the UPC Contracting Member States, with proceedings potentially covering several jurisdictions in a single case depending on the particular patent right and the applicable territorial scope.
